Chesterfield FA Cup Empty Chesterfield FA Cup

Post by AndyT Wed 17 Dec 2014, 09:13

After the debate about whether the Bloods should or should not have been thrown out of the FA cup a few years ago:

"Milton Keynes Dons and Chesterfield will re-play their Second Round Proper tie on Friday 2 January at 7.45pm, it has been confirmed.
Following an FA Cup sub-committee hearing at Wembley Stadium, Chesterfield were ordered to replay their FA Cup Second Round Proper fixture against Milton Keynes Dons.
Chesterfield had admitted a breach of FA Cup Rule 15(j), after fielding an ineligible player, namely Georg Margreitter, in their 1-0 win at MK Dons on Saturday 6 December 2014.
The tie will be played to a finish, with no further replay.
No further action was taken against Chesterfield as ordering the tie to be replayed was deemed sufficient punishment.
The winners will play Scunthorpe or Worcester City."

Nice to see the FA are nice and consistent!

I quite like them after what they did to United in the League Cup! Wink,

Sadly, they couldn't repeat anything like that today, losing 1-0 meaning Chesterfield go through Mad
