Prescot game.

Post by ceeemdee on Sun 18 Oct 2015, 11:41

Looked more nervous against these than, with no disrespect, some of the more capable teams in this league. We could well have been three goals down before the did score and it was only when we equalised that we relaxed more and started playing. Good second half performance if a little nervy at the back at times. Triple substitution proved a revelation and we got a grip of the games with som decent goals from Smith and Hampson. Blow losing Hall at the end especially with the Glossop game at home this coming Tuesday, but if we continue with the spirit we have in the squad i have no doubts we will start to climb out of this mire.

The triple substitution changed the game.We have to beat teams like Prescot if we are to have any chance of staying up in this division and Jacob Wood's mistake could have easily cost us the three points.

It was a brave move but it paid off.

I hope Steve Hall is fit for Tuesday, he was an inspiration today and is now timing his tackles ( thank goodness).

A great shame that Fernando Moke has gone, from what I heard of the circumstances, he practically sneaked out on Friday
